Happy New Year!

Dear Family,

I am go grateful that we have been able to make contact this year through this newsletter and facebook. While the news seems very dismal and forecasts for the coming year reflects that, I feel very peaceful.

Whatever happens we have our family to fall back on. If we lose our money or our jobs, it's happened to many of us before. We will all get through it together. We can look at that new little baby, Theodore, and see our future. We can expect another birth at the end of May. Will that little one be born on Mom's birthday(3), or Kathy's(16) or Sharon's (16), Glenn's(15) or Aunt Kathy's(24), Grandpa Rasmussen (24), Cassie's(20), Miriam's(10)or Dad's (hopefully). I'm sure I have missed some birthdays. Boy, our family is large! We are very lucky to have each other.

I wish you all a Happy New Year. Anything you'd like to see happen this coming year??? Please comment.

Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice
December 21 st Winter Solstice. What it means to me. Shortest amount of daylight all year. Sunrise today 10:14 am, sunset 3;42pm. 5 hours 28 minutes of daylight. Temp. -5°. Aurora Borlias (Norther Lights). Four days til Christmas. What a special day. Tomorrow we will gain 5 seconds of day light and by January 26 th we will be gaining over 5 minute a day. Winter's half over. 2009 begins a new year, with a lot of hopes and dreams. Next year I going to be a better person. Try to find good in everyone, treat people with respect and have fun doing it. One person can make a difference. Even if it is just for one person.
Remember it's time to book your trip to Alaska. I have openings all summer.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Ed

Settling in

Well, Sadie and I are all moved into our new apartment in Fairport, NY. We are loving it. I have my own office and Sadie has a huge walk in closet. Sadie got a job with the college we went to and I will be starting a tech support job next week. Today I also had my first meeting with my new web design client. I will be building a website for a little used book boutique on main street in Fairport. It is a cute little place and I get along with the owner quite well, so I am looking forward to this opportunity to expand my portfolio. This will probably also lead to work with other small businesses in Fairport... so I am pretty happy.
