Another wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Everyone has left, the dishes are done, and I am reflecting on what a wonderful day we had today. I love Thanksgiving. No stress except cooking a meal and all I had to do was the turkey and stuffing. Everyone brought tasty recipes, and we managed to fit everyone around makeshift card tables and patio chairs. This year we had two official new members, Monica and Miriam. Many of the family got to meet Christian, Miriam's brother for the first time. Our friends Alex and Nikki brought their 9 month old baby, Jasper, who was an angel, laughing at our boxer, Bolo. And of course, Ronnie's parents and Alex's mom were here too. We reflected on past Thanksgivings, some with my sister, Laura, back in the late 70s and 80s and many with Celeste. We missed Mike and Rose and Sharon and Dan and family. Sharon's girl, Shannon, won a 20 lb. turkey at school this week, so she provided their meal and they put up their Christmas tree today, and had snow for Thanksgiving in Spokane, WA.
I wish you all could come over for leftovers tomorrow. Love you all.
